Kocani

         

Archaeological findings attest to the existence of a settlement in this Eastern Macedonian locale since Roman times. Today, Kocani features modern cafes and shopping centers, and is a regional center for nightlife and culture.

            
               

The Kocani area is known especially for its rice paddies and thermal baths. The frogs that lurk in the rice fields are also considered a delicacy by Macedonian gourmets.
