About Sarai Ahmet Niyazi

Resen caravan, known as Sarai Ahmet Niyazi , Resen is one of the most representative examples of buildings built in neoclassical style in Macedonia. History says that the Ottoman overlord Niyazi Bey, one of the leaders of the Young Turk revolution, built in early 1900, after being impressed by a French castle on a postcard he received.

This is the house of Niazi Bey, the man who because of his progressive ideas and participation in the Young Turk movement was sent to Resen, which for him should 
be a certain penalty. This is the man who as leader of Young Turk movement won Bitola. Comes to Resen, builds the caravan and said: "Brother Macedonians, Vlachs, Roma, now all live in a free country, a democratic society." Later, when he sensed that the Sultan sends asesinite, runs away with gold in Durres, where in 1912 he was killed by the same assassin.

Travel with a bus

If you considering to go with a bus you have a dozen of buses between Resen and Skopje. Time travel is 3 hours. Price for one way ticket is 530 denars/ 8.6EUR and two way tickets is 720 denars/ 11.7 EUR.

Time of departure from Skopje 06:00, 11:00, 12:30, 13:30, 14:30, 15:30, 16:30.

Travel by train

There is no train line to the city.

Travel with taxi

If you are not comfortable to travel by train or bus, you can always get a taxi. The price for one way is more or less 5230 denars /85 EUR.
